Station Houses, Castlegregory, Co Kerry
Twelve self-catering holiday houses situated on the edge of the quaint village of Castlegregory. Finished to an extremely high standard these fully furnished houses are equipped with Hi-fi, DVD player, Tv, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, duvets and linen, electric showers, oil fired central heating and open fires. Nine of the twelve houses are laid out in a cobbled courtyard setting, the other three run along the side of the courtyard. Each house has its own small garden and there is ample parking space for each house.
The joy of these houses is the proximity to the village which is a mere 3 minute stroll away. The village itself contains a small supermarket, an array of pubs/restaurants, a café, a post office, churches, hair salons, a hardware store and a tourist information centre. Castlegregory beach is also within walking distance and the infamous Maharees Peninsula is just a five minute drive. Being a sand spit The Maharees has miles of golden sandy beaches and bays which all serve useful for the many different kinds of watersports that take place here. Tuition and hire for kite-surfing, surfing, wind surfing and diving are available down here and during the busy summer months summer camps for children are held. If you are not a fan of the water there are many other activities to keep you occupied such as golfing, hill walking, fishing, cycling, scenic drives, boat trips and pony trekking. |
